Allison Mack is an American actress who was bought up in Long Island after her family moved to USA when she was only two years old. Her mother is named Mandy and her father is named Jonathan Mack and he was an opera singer, who performed in Germany. She is the second of the three siblings and has an elder brother named Shannon and a younger sister named Robyn. She started appearing in commercials at the age of four and at the age of seven she started attending the The Young Actors Space in Los Angeles. Currently she is attending the classes of improvisation and scene study, at the same institute. She is close friend of co-star, Kristin Kreuk, and the two, together with a few more friends have started a new clothing line. Allison is an accomplished dancer and singer and likes to spend her free time with her friends and family or pursuing her hobbies which include reading, making art and going to movies and plays. In 2003, Allison officially announced her engagement to her longtime boyfriend, Peter.

Having been involved with show business from an early age helped Allison forward her acting career. She has worked in about 25 television shows and 7 movies. On television, Allison has acted in shows like Empty Nest, A Private Matter, Evening Shade, 7th Heaven, Opposite Sex, The Nightmare Room, Smallville: Chloe Chronicles, Smallville: Vengeance Chronicles and Smallville etc., where she has played the role of Chloe Sullivan. She has also worked in the movies Police Academy 6: City Under Siege, Night Eyes Three, No Dessert, Dad, Till You Mow the Lawn, Camp Nowhere, The Ant Bully, Alice & Huck with the last one currently under post-production.

In addition she has also directed a few episodes of Smallville and produced Alice & Huck, besides performing in the soundtrack of Smallville. Allison has also appeared as herself on Superman: The Early Years (Behind the Scenes of Smallville), The Saturday Show, ‘Smallville Tv Show‘ Backstage Special and TV Guide CloseUp: Behind the Scenes of ‘Smallville’ etc. Allison has been nominated for two Saturn Awards and four Teen Choice Awards and has won two Teen Choice Awards for Choice TV: Sidekick for her role in Smallville, in the years 2006 and 2007.

Role In Smallville

In Smallville, she plays the role of Chloe Sullivan. She is the best friend of Clark and is in love with him even though he does not reciprocate her feelings. She was quite jealous of Lana who is the love interest of Clark. She is a curious journalist and often has a strained relationship with friends as she tries to expose falsehoods and uncover the truth. She also tried to dig into Clark’s past after she became suspicious of him. Though she has come to learn about the special powers of Clark, she has kept it a secret, even from him. She is currently dating her old schoolmate Jimmy Olsen.
