Kristin Kreuk is a young Canadian actress who was born to Peter Kreuk and Deanna Che, both of whom are landscape architects. Kristin is partly Dutch and partly Chinese by descent. She has a younger sister named Justine, who is five years younger to her. She attended the Edith Cavell Elementary School and later completed her high school education from Eric Hamber Secondary School. She trained as a national level gymnast but was forces to quit the sport in the eleventh grade, due to scoliosis. She also she acted in a few plays besides going for swimming and martial arts in school. She planned of attending the Simon Fraser University to study psychology, environmental science, or forensic science. However her plans changed, when her school received a fax from the casting director of a new TV series, named Edgemont, and she was selected for role of Laurel, in her first ever audition. After that there was no looking back for this exotic actress who became the newest spokesperson for Neutrogena, in 2002. Kristin shares an intimate relationship with a tight knit group of friends. She likes to spend her spare time by going to the movies with them or pursuing her hobbies of reading, writing, dancing and knitting.

Kristin started her acting career in 2001 and has since then been seen in the shows The Weekenders, Snow White, Earthsea, Edgemont and Smallville in which she plays the role of Lana Lang. She has also worked in the movies Eurotrip, Partition and Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li. In addition she has appeared as herself on shows like Canada A.M., Late Night with Conan O’Brien, Live with Regis and Kathie Lee and Superman: The Early Years (Behind the Scenes of Smallville) etc. She has been nominated for four Saturn Awards, two Leo Awards and five Teen Choice Awards.

Role In Smallville

In Smallville, she plays the role of Lana Lang. She is the girl next door who feels sympathetic towards everyone as she has lost her parents early in life. Although she takes on many boyfriends during the entire series, she shares a close relationship with Clark who secretly loves her. She also shared a brief relationship with Lex whom she was forced to marry by Lex’s father, Lionel. Although towards the later part of the series, Clark expresses his love to her, she is still unaware of his secret powers.
