Smallville Season 8

Season 8 of the adventure series Smallville debuted on 18^th September 2008. In the first episode, Green Arrow enlists the help of fellow heroes Black Canary and Aquaman to look for missing Clark Kent who is imprisoned and powerless in a Russian prison camp in Siberia. Meanwhile, presuming Lex Luthor to be dead, the ruthless Tess Mercer is appointed the new CEO of LuthorCorp while Chloe is kidnapped by a group that learns about her special powers. On his first day of job at the Daily Planet, Clark sees a bus exploding just outside the office and goes in search of someone who might be infected by kryptonite while Chloe invites a young girl involved in the explosion to live with her.

Oliver Queen gets poisoned during a charity event and has reminiscences from his past while Clark tries to find a cure for his poison around the globe. Tess and her scientists accidentally invite the alien princess Maxima to Earth and upon her arrival she starts looking for a suitable mate with the only hindrance being that her kiss is mortal to anyone not belonging to Krypton.[read more...]
